COMMUNITY THEATRE GROUP
AIKUISET NAISET JA PETRI
Community theatre group Aikuiset naiset ja Petri is a professionally lead community theatre group consisting of ordinary people living in Malminkartano suburb. The group was founded after a community theatre project in 2013 called "Maltsu rules!" coordinated by Lenkkiteatteri and funded by Helsinki city. And its adult members ended up to become the ground for this emerging group. At the moment the group consists of 10 members who are aged between 30-70+ years. The group is open and forms and completes always project by project.
After the implemented pilot project of the Dialogical audience development model the group has seven performance ensembles together. The performance spaces that have become familiar consist of the big and small stages of the theatres as well as libraries and common spaces for inhabitants.
The idea of the group is to explore different manifestations of art and being as a human being summarising each process to a high quality pieces of performing arts using the tools of applied arts. The meditative, therapeutic and consciousness work methods support also the personal growth of the group members.
